Canyoneering Yankee Doodle Hollow with a Kid | Utah Slot Canyons

Yankee Doodle Hollow is a short but exciting technical slot canyon near Leeds, Utah, offering classic Southern Utah scenery with easy access and fun challenges. On this canyoneering trip, we descended through sculpted sandstone walls, completed a series of short rappels, and enjoyed plenty of hands-on scrambling and sand-filled narrows. Zoey especially loved rappelling and playing in the soft canyon floor — a perfect mix of adventure and fun for families with some experience. With its beautiful rock formations and approachable route, Yankee Doodle is a great introduction to canyoneering in the Zion region.
