Walking out to Punta Uvita (Whale's Tail) | Best Beaches in Costa Rica

Punta Unita (also called Whales Tail because of it's shape) is a natural rock and sand formation off of Uvita Beach in Parque Nacional Marino Ballena (Ballena Marine National Park). During high tide it just looks like a small island off of the beach, but during low tide you can walk out to it. If it's a low enough tide there will be sand all the way out to it.

The views of the Costa Rican jungle and mountains from the formation are amazing. This was one of our favorite beaches we have visited in Costa Rica.
