Haleakala Crater Trail with Silversword Garden | Hikes on Maui | HAWAII Hiking

Haleakala Crater Trail is an amazing point to point hike located on Maui.

This incredible hike begins near the Haleakala summit, starts with a downhill, crosses the valley floor, passes through a Haleakala Silversword garden, and ends at Halemau'u. Since the trail is point to point you'll have to shuttle or hitchhike to get back to your car at the end. There is a hitchhikers pickup spot marked on the road, and I was able to get a ride pretty easily. The trail is in Haleakala National Park so there is the normal park fee to get in. There isn't really any shade on this hike so bring lots of water and plan accordingly.
