Waterfall Hike with Monkeys and Cliff Jumping in Costa Rica | Cascada El Salto Hike | Manuel Antonio

Cascada El Salto (Catarata El Salto) is a waterfall in Manuel Antonio. If you're lucky you can see monkeys and sloths as you hike through the jungle trail. The trail leads to the top of the waterfall. You can get down to the pool at the bottom by either jumping or climbing down the rope on the side of the falls. This was during the dry season so the falls didn't have very much water flowing, but we still had a fun time and this stop turned into an awesome adventure.

There are other hiking trails nearby that supposedly connect to the Cascada El Salto trail, but we didn't see where they connected and ended up doing two separate short hikes. Just the hike to the waterfall seemed close to 1 mile.

Distance: ~2 miles round trip (just the waterfall trail)
Elevation Gain: No significant elevation gain
