Ehukai Pillbox Trail (Sunset Pillbox) | Best Hikes on Oahu | HAWAII Hiking

Ehukai Pillbox trail (also called Sunset Pillbox) is a short but steep trail up to two different bunkers (called pillboxes) that were used during World War II. There are great views of the beach/ocean from the pillboxes. There are similar pillboxes all around the island Oahu, which you can hike too. These pillboxes look over the west side of North Shore so you could get an excellent sunset if you timed your hike right.

Round trip: ~1.5 miles (longer if you hike any of the mountain bike trails at the top)
Elevation gain: 437 ft
