Cliff Jumping and Snorkeling | Black Rock Beach | Maui Snorkeling Spots HAWAII

Spending the day at Black Rock Beach (Ka’anapali, Maui) was one of those perfect days where adventure and relaxation came together. After about a week of rain, the skies finally cleared, giving us bright blue skies and ideal conditions for cliff jumping and snorkeling. We started the day with some jumps off the cliffs on the north end of the beach, and the thrill of leaping into the clear waters never gets old.

After the cliff jumping, we all got a chance to snorkel together, exploring the vibrant underwater world. The bay is full of tropical fish, coral formations, and even a few sea turtles, which made snorkeling here unforgettable. The water was calm and clear, perfect for spotting marine life and enjoying a leisurely swim.

Black Rock Beach stretches over a mile long, so parking near the cliffs can be limited. I ended up dropping everyone off and walking back from the Hyatt parking area, which gave me a chance to enjoy the shoreline, watch the waves, and take in the stunning views of Maui’s coastline. The mix of adventure from the cliffs, the serenity of snorkeling, and the beautiful tropical scenery makes Black Rock Beach one of my favorite spots on the island.

Whether you’re looking for a short adventure, a place to swim with turtles, or just a gorgeous beach to enjoy, Black Rock has a little bit of everything. Spending the day here with family made it even more special, and it’s a place I’d love to revisit anytime I’m on Maui.
