Crouching Lion and Pu'u Manamana Trail | Best Hikes on Oahu | HAWAII Hiking

Crouching Lion is a very short but steep hike with amazing views at the top. On a clear day you can look out over the ocean, see the reef, and get good views of the mountains behind it. The hike is called crouching lion because the rock formation at top kind of looks like a lion from the right angle. At the top of Crouching lion you can cut over to the Pu'u Manamana trail.

The Pu'u Manaman trail is longer and more difficult than the Crouching Lion trail, but has even better views from the top. This trail has some scrambling and sections that have steep drop off on either side. You can do a couple different loop variations with this trail if you continue further than I went.

Just Crouching Lion:
Round trip: 0.4 miles (I think I said 0.4 one way in the video, but it's 0.4 round)
Elevation gain: 216 ft

Pu'u Mananman:
Round trip: 2.8 miles
Elevation gain: 1,923 ft
